1. General

Welcome.

This policy addresses our practices regarding the information we collect from you. Throughout this policy we may use “Site” to refer to the site (mahred.com); “Service” to collectively refer to any service that we provide to you through the Site or otherwise, which includes but is not limited to functionality provided through the Site; “Candidate” to refer to an individual that makes use of the Services to find a job; and “Employer” to refer to a person or business (such as a company) that makes use of the Services in any way whatsoever to employ Candidates. YOU MAY NOT USE OR ACCESS THE SERVICES UNLESS YOU ACCEPT THE PRACTICES DESCRIBED IN THIS POLICY. IF YOU DO NOT ACCEPT THE PRACTICES DESCRIBED IN THIS POLICY, YOU MAY NOT USE OR ACCESS THE SERVICES. BY USING THE SERVICES, YOU ARE ACCEPTING THE PRACTICES DESCRIBED IN THIS POLICY.

2. What information we collect

When you register we ask you to provide your a) first name and last name b) gender c) date of birth d) and email if you are a Candidate. Or to provide your a) Company name b) email c) and URL address of the company’s website if you are an Employer.

If you are an Employer, we also collect the date and time of the first time you visit the page of a Candidate through the Site.

When you access the Site certain information are also logged using cookies and as part of server log files. These include IP address, page visited, the date and time the page was visited, and web browser used.

We also use Google Analytics and Heap Analytics to collect anonymous data to help analyze how visitors use the site. We may also have your LinkedIn Connections if you opt to provide them.

3. How we use the information we collect

We use the information we collect as part of providing you with the Services. We may also use the information to gather “Aggregate Information” which does not belong to a specific user and is general, such as the percentage of visitors to the Site from a certain country, or the number of monthly visitors to the Site in a certain month.

The data collected through Google Analytics and Heap Analytics is sent to Google and Heap, respectively, to generate statistical reports on website activity, and analyze users' behavior on the Site.

If you opt to upload your LinkedIn Connections to the Site, we would use that information to invite the connections that you choose to invite through email.

4. Sharing and disclosure of the information we collect

We do not share “Personally Identifiable Information” which refers to information that can be used to identify you (such as your name or email address) that we collect with any other third-party except as required by law (as is the case without limitation to subpoenas and court orders.)

If Candidates choose to share contact information on their profile, that information will be available to Employers. We do not control how Employers use that information, and Candidates do so at their own risk.

5. Cookies

We use Cookies (small text files stored by your browser on your device usually as a result of visiting a web page) mainly to provide you with the Services in a more convenient manner. This allows us to recognize a user after visiting a different page on the Site, for example.

You are usually able to disable cookies through your web browser but by doing so you may not be able to access parts of the Site that rely on Cookies.

6. Children under 13

We do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13 nor are the Services meant to be used by any child under the age of 13.

7. External links

The Site may contain links to websites that are not part of the Site. We do not control (or operate) these websites. This policy does not apply to these websites. It is your responsibility to review the privacy practices of these websites before providing any information.

8. How we protect the information we collect

We use 256-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption technology to encrypt the information on the Site. However, the security of information transmitted through the internet cannot be completely guaranteed and we do not guarantee the security of any information that you provide through the Services whether during transmission or after being stored.

Account passwords are encrypted or hashed when stored.

We are using a Shared Hosting Server. This means that more than one website shares the same computer server and is generally LESS SECURE than having the website hosted on its own computer server (Dedicated Hosting Server).

9. Changes to the Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to modify or replace this policy in the future at our sole discretion. By using the Services (whether this policy has been changed or not) you are agreeing to this policy. You acknowledge that we may (but are not obligated to) at our sole discretion provide notice of any changes through the Site or otherwise.
